Before leaving office, the Bush Administration attempted to enact as part of a its “midnight regulations,” a rule that would prevent disclosure of information gathered by the people who work for the State of Maine to provide quality control surveys of our State’s nursing homes. As Keith Oberman recently pointed out on his MSNBC show, Countdown, this is a dangerous rule that only places the older adults who reside in nursing homes at greater risk.
